Canon kicks off Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2018

Ho Chi Minh City, 1 August 2018 – Canon Marketing Vietnam today announced that it will once again be the primary sponsor of the seventh annual Vietnam Heritage Photo Award.  The contest, organized by Vietnam Heritage magazine under the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association.

The contest this year marks the 73rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s signing of Decree No. 65/SL on 23 November 1945, the first decree in the national dedicated to the preservation of national cultural heritage.

Aimed at supporting, discovering and sharing the country’s natural and cultural heritage, the contest seeks out art that tells stories of the heritage of Vietnam in order to share the nation’s natural and cultural beauty.

In addition to sponsoring major prize, Canon will be responsible for the printing of all submissions from photographers for both judging and exhibition.

In addition to traditional themes as Nature, Tangible Culture, Intangible Culture and Life, Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2018 also adds a new theme: “Vietnamese Ao Dai” a theme set to inspire contestants to create new and impressive works.

All Vietnamese citizens and foreigners are entitled to participate in the contest.

The deadline of submission (24:00 on 30 September 2018), the organizer will select 18 of the 100 best works to receive main awards, including 12 Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards and 6 Vietnam Heritage Junior Photo Awards which targets candidates under the age of 23. These 100 works will be exhibited in HCMC, Danang, Hanoi and shown online.

Along with the main photo contest, the Miniquiz online contest seeks to discover Vietnamese Heritage will be held on Facebook at the same time from August last until end of November 2018. Questions will be posted on official fanpages of Canon, Vietnam Heritage and Vietjet Air.


Canon phát động Cuộc thi ảnh Di sản Việt Nam – Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2018

TP.HCM, ngày 1 tháng 8 năm 2018 – Canon Marketing Việt Nam tiếp tục đồng hành với vai trò nhà tài trợ chính cho Cuộc thi ảnh Di sản Việt Nam (Vietnam Heritage Photo) lần thứ 7. Đây là cuộc thi thường niên do tạp chí Vietnam Heritage trực thuộc Hội Di sản Văn hóa Việt Nam tổ chức, nhằm kỷ niệm 73 năm ngày Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh ký sắc lệnh 65/SL – sắc lệnh đầu tiên của Việt Nam về việc bảo tồn Di sản Văn hóa dân tộc (23/11/1945 – 23/11/2018).

Nhằm hỗ trợ phát hiện, chia sẻ những giá trị di sản thiên nhiên và văn hóa Việt Nam, đồng thời tìm kiếm những tác phẩm – những câu chuyện về di sản bằng hình ảnh để tuyên truyền giới thiệu về thiên nhiên, lịch sử, văn hóa trên tạp chí Vietnam Heritage, Canon đã tài trợ toàn bộ các giải thưởng chính cho chương trình, chịu trách nhiệm in ấn toàn bộ hình ảnh chất lượng cao và khổ lớn phục vụ cho các triển lãm.

Bà Lê Thanh Hằng, Phó Giám Đốc Marketing và Truyền Thông, Canon Marketing Việt Nam, chia sẻ: “Canon Marketing Việt Nam rất vinh dự khi tiếp tục đồng hành cùng Cuộc thi ảnh Di sản Việt Nam – Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards lần thứ 7 này. Qua đó, chúng tôi hiểu rằng, sứ mệnh của Canon không chỉ dừng lại ở việc cung cấp các giải pháp hình ảnh và nhiếp ảnh kỹ thuật số, mà còn là chung sức phát hiện, chia sẻ những giá trị di sản thiên nhiên và văn hóa, đặc biệt là tại Việt Nam – một quốc gia vốn được thiên nhiên ưu ái ban tặng nhiều cảnh quan tuyệt mỹ đi cùng nền văn hóa đa dạng. Cuộc thi còn là cơ hội để các tay máy – bất kể chuyên nghiệp hay nghiệp dư – thể hiện góc nhìn độc đáo, đam mê nhiếp ảnh cùng tình yêu những gì gắn liền với dải đất hình chữ S. Đó cũng là một mục, một giá trị mà Canon luôn hướng đến kể từ những ngày đầu tiên tại Việt Nam”.

Ngoài các chủ đề truyền thống của cuộc thi như Thiên nhiên, Văn hóa vật thể, Văn hóa phi vật thể, Đời sống, Cuộc thi ảnh Di sản Việt Nam 2018 còn có thêm chủ đề  “Áo dài Việt Nam”, hứa hẹn sẽ khơi nguồn cảm hứng cho nhiều tác phẩm dự thi đầy ấn tượng. Mọi công dân Việt Nam và người nước ngoài đều có quyền tham dự cuộc thi.

Sau hạn nộp bài (24h00 ngày 30 tháng 09 năm 2018), ban tổ chức sẽ chọn 18 trong số 100 tác phẩm xuất sắc nhất các giải thưởng chính, bao gồm 12 giải thưởng Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards và 6 Giải thưởng Trẻ (Vietnam Heritage Junior Photo Awards) – hướng đến nhóm thí sinh dưới 23 tuổi. 100 tác phẩm này sẽ được tổ chức triển lãm tại TPHCM, Đà Nẵng, Hà Nội và triển lãm online.

Bên cạnh cuộc thi ảnh chính, cuộc thi online Miniquiz về tìm hiểu Di sản Việt Nam sẽ được tổ chức song song trên Facebook từ tháng 8 đến hết tháng 11/2018. Mỗi tuần, các câu hỏi sẽ được đăng tải trên fanpage chính thức của Canon, Vietnam Heritage và Vietjet Air.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

The Graphic Designer  will be responsible for creating visual elements, such as images, illustrations, and text, to communicate messages through digital, print, and other types of media.  

 

Experience:  2 years at minimum

Employment Type: Full time

 

SCOPE OF WORK

– Design advertising assets for marketing materials, digital banner/illustration for social channels, marketing documents

– Support editing, creating effects, video clips at basic functions

– Support activities that require proper visual such as Photography, filming, set-up, ..

– Support internal team to generate design ideas for content and marketing layout

 

QUALIFICATIONS

– At least 2-year experiences working in the same position (experience in agency is a plus)

– Excel in design software like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

– Able to convey message / idea into design

 – Must have an creative “eye” to match client’s design guideline/style

– Supportive  and Proactive in working with minimum supervision

– Able to work under pressure to meet deadline

– English speaking is preferable

 

VIETNAMESE COPY WRITER

Are you the sort of person for whom the words never stop falling from your fingers? We are always on the lookout for copywriters with a creative flair, a journalism background…or preferably both!

Experience: You tell us! Were you a journalist before? Or were you just the kid that was always asked to read their stories to the class. We’d love to hear your story.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience in either editorial or creative copywriting
  • Existing media network would be advantageous
  • Ability to write on varied topics and for varied media (including traditional, social, online, web and so forth)
  • Spoken English definitely preferred but not essential

  • High level of initiative and self-motivation

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

This position supports senior staff with agency’s client work across a diverse range of sectors. Not only will creative writing and translating skills need to be qualified but Account Executive also needs a good grasp of online social media practices.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Monitoring  news on newspapers, magazines, online media for opportunities for clients
  • Preparing client reports by daily, weekly, monthly
  • Developing media materials, including news releases, client meeting summaries, articles quarterly/annual report and other written materials in English and Vietnamese
  • Supporting planning, developing and implementing PR plan
  • Building and maintaining media relations
  • Preparing and supervising the production of promotional videos, photographs, and multimedia programs upon request;
  • Supporting  organizing and managing client events, including press conferences, media tour,  promotional client events
  • Managing vendors to control production quality  on behalf of client
  • Collating, analyzing and measuring coverage outcomes

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proactive, quick minded, attention to details personality
  • Good copy writing skill
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese
  • Have the interest and drive to learn how to master the core skills and capabilities needed to deliver all aspects of a campaign
  • Design experience would be an advantage
  • Related experience in agency environment preferred
  • Willing to travel when requested

 

 

 

ACCOUNT MANAGER

This position is a key member of the team involving and managing multiple client accounts. While leading and supervising junior staff’s workload, Consultant (or as Account Manager) will be also seen directly managing (or supporting Senior Consultant with) wide range of clients, handling their public reputation through different PR campaigns.

Experience:  A minimum of 3-5 year PR experience in working in Corporate or Agency

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Structuring and implementing PR campaigns and media content, aligning them with the client’s key business objectives
  • Develop media materials, including news releases, articles and other written materials
  • Develop and maintain relationship with media network
  • Liaise with clients and act as key point of contact in support of senior consultants
  • Identify new business opportunities, and sell ideas, promotions and features to clients
  • Manage workloads of multiple projects
  • Organize and manage client events, including press conferences, media tour, promotional client events
  • Manage and supervise the production of promotional videos, photographs, and multimedia programmes upon request;
  • Supervise Account Executive’s workload, provide leadership and direction to the team on key activities and campaigns.
  • Keep track of impending deadlines and ensure all work is completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure all work is completed on time and within budget
  • Track and reconcile project fee and expense budgets
  • Assist in the reporting, analysis and evaluation of PR campaigns
  • Monitor news on newspapers, magazines, online media for opportunities for clients

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong management skill towards Client, Staff, Media, Vendors, Events
  • Have relationships with press and Government contacts
  • Good understanding of social media
  • Good verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese
